AppealU

Accessibility

AppealU exists to help students stand up for their education, and that only works if our services are usable by everyone. We are committed to keeping this website and the appeal process we run on your behalf accessible, and to fixing problems when we find them.

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element on the site — menus, forms, uploads, and chat — is designed to be reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.

Contrast and readability

We use color and text combinations checked for contrast, and we avoid conveying meaning through color alone.

Screen reader support

Pages are structured with clear headings, labels, and descriptions so assistive technology can announce what is on screen and what it does.

Alternative formats

If a document in your case is hard for you to use — a PDF, an image, or a video without captions — tell us and we will supply it in a format that works for you.

Built into the process

Accessibility is part of how we prepare your case. If you tell us about a disability, circumstance, or accommodation that matters to your appeal, your Case Specialist can help you document it.

Tell us about a barrier

If anything on this site or in your case materials is difficult to use, email us and describe what happened. A person will respond and work with you on a fix or an alternative.

Conformance and ongoing work

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we test our pages with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers as we make changes. Accessibility is an ongoing effort: as we add features — evidence uploads, secure chat, digital case files — we check them before they reach you.

Because appeal deadlines are urgent, if you are having trouble with anything time-sensitive, contact us right away and we will help you through an alternative channel so you do not miss a deadline while we work on the issue.
